Oh, boy! All around the city holiday lights are popping up and it makes me smile a lot. This morning J. and I took a touristy detour before work to capture the space needle with a tree on top. Things like this always make my day.

How festive! I didn't know they put a tree on top of the space needle. Do you think it will still be up the beginning of January? I will be in Seattle during that time.
ReplyDeleteI was also going to ask if you have any advice for places to visit/things to see? I haven't been there since I was ten...
snow!! i love it. :)
ReplyDeletealso, there is a tree on top of that!? (does that make it the tallest xmas tree ever or what? haha)
nice, didn't know they put a tree on top of the tower :)
ReplyDeleteCole, in dreams, & Petra: The tree on the space needle is created from strands of lights. I'm sorry I didn't clarify that it wasn't a real tree, but a tree of lights! Here is a link to a more up close view: http://www.uptake.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/space-needle-seattle-xmas.jpg Cheers!
ReplyDeleteCole: I'm not sure how long they keep the lights up, but maybe it'll still be there in January. Fingers crossed for you! Here are a few ideas off the top of my head for your visit:

DeleteIt's always fun to look at your own city through the eyes of Tourists. We see very different things.
ReplyDeleteI like the lighted tree.
Happy day!
Holiday lights around a city are one of the most magical things! I'm from Chicago and when they turn the lights on, it just feels like Christmas :)
